What’s your background?
I was born in Romania and later moved to Italy, where I completed a Master’s degree in Engineering Management. My dream has always been to become a maths teacher, and training with Cheshire East SCITT gave me the opportunity to make that dream a reality.
Why did you decide to go into teaching?
Teaching is my passion and something I always wanted to do. I chose to go into teaching because I love mathematics and wanted to share that enthusiasm with my students. Moving to the UK gave me the chance to follow this path, and Cheshire East SCITT supported me every step of the way.
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
Teaching is my life. I enjoy seeing students grow in confidence, especially when they begin to understand topics they once found difficult. Helping them achieve their best and knowing I play a part in their success is incredibly rewarding.

Yes, I secured a teaching position at the end of the course and felt fully prepared to start my career as a Maths Teacher.
What were the three best things about the SCITT programme?
-
The warm and supportive community where I always felt welcome.
-
The professionalism and expertise of the SCITT team, who were there to help me with everything.
-
The excellent school-based experience, which gave me the confidence and skills to teach effectively.
Would you recommend the Cheshire East SCITT to anyone considering a career in teaching?
Absolutely. My training year was amazing, and I do not think there is a better place in Cheshire to train. Cheshire East SCITT is professional, welcoming, and supportive, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to become a teacher.
