Cheshire East SCITT offers an 11-16 training programme with post 16 experience.

Trainees are placed in a range of highly supportive and inspirational learning environments to enable them to develop the rigour, professional knowledge and skills necessary for the delivery of creative and challenging teaching and learning.

Cheshire East SCITT is based at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, a National Teaching School that has been acknowledged as a centre of excellence in the field of initial teacher training.

Alongside our Partner Schools, we offer placements and resources from a number high-performing schools in the Cheshire East area. These schools are nestled within the beautiful Cheshire countryside but can be accessed easily from the M6 and frequent train routes from Crewe and Manchester.

What our trainees say...

"I can't believe how I feel energised, excited and exhausted, all at the same time".

"This was the challenge and redirection I was ready for in my life".

Within just a few weeks you can start to make a difference".

"No regrets at taking such a big step".

Our high-performing Partner Schools are based throughout the Cheshire East region and includes a free school and a single sex school. They vary in size and are placed in a mixture of urban and rural areas. Many have achieved outstanding Ofsted ratings (as has Manchester Metropolitan University). All the schools are located within easy travelling distance of each other.

This Alliance enables us to offer a unique blend of opportunities.  Our trainees are able to experience a diverse and contrasting range of school-centred teacher training experiences.
